The Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new customer opportunities and expanding business with existing clients. This involves building strong relationships, networking, conducting outreach, and presenting tailored solutions that address customer needs. The role focuses on fostering and retaining long-term client partnerships while collaborating with internal teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively promote company products and services by employing proven sales methodologies and communicating value propositions to clients.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Manage CRM data to develop account-specific strategies and coordinate efforts with team members.
- Address and resolve customer concerns by analyzing problems, proposing solutions, preparing reports, and making actionable recommendations.
- Conduct proactive outreach to understand customer business operations, identify potential growth opportunities, and analyze competitor activity within the industry.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales performance benchmarks, including revenue targets, call quotas, and follow-up on quotes.
- Design and execute tailored sales strategies to maximize revenue potential across assigned accounts using data insights and sales analytics.
- Drive team efforts to build, manage, and close a robust sales pipeline, with a focus on high-value and strategic accounts.
- Collaborate across teams to align resources with client needs while maintaining focus on individual sales goals.
- Mentor and support team members by sharing best practices and fostering skill development.
- Participate in business reviews with clients and senior leadership to evaluate progress and opportunities.
- Partner with technical and support teams to deliver solutions that meet client requirements.
- Arrange and participate in debriefs to align on client goals and expectations.
- Build and nurture relationships through regular in-person visits and engagement activities.
- Work with leadership to identify market trends and develop new offerings that align with customer needs.
- Identify potential campaigns, services, and channels to enhance market presence and revenue growth.
- Use market and competitive insights to refine messaging and differentiate the company's offerings.
- Develop and maintain account management plans that outline client strategies and objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in sales or account management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with the Building Automation Systems (BAS) industry, including knowledge of its key stakeholders such as consultants, contractors, and end-users, along with basic understanding of BAS products and applications.
