With 2,000 team members, this company is looking to add an Assistant Plant Controller to their team!
Responsibilities:
- Support management by enhancing reporting systems, reviewing current manual operations, and identifying discrepancies or errors.
- Evaluate all plant operations to improve reporting accuracy, aiding in sound decision-making.
- Audit billing records for external warehouses.
- Generate inventory analysis reports.
- Update and maintain inventories for external storage, providing weekly and monthly reports.
- Conduct weekly inventory valuation and closeout.
- Compile and report weekly sales overage calculations.
- Identify and pursue opportunities beyond the usual responsibilities.
- Create training materials for inventory tracking and assessment as needed.
- Participate in policy review meetings to recommend and implement accounting policy changes.
- Establish and implement controls and processes to optimize production, supporting management as necessary.
- Analyze raw data from current systems to ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensure accurate linkage between reports and troubleshoot HTML or Java code issues as required.
- Collaborate with scheduling and sales teams to maximize production and warehouse efficiencies.
- Assist warehouse management in optimizing inventory and warehouse processes.
- Analyze labor reporting results and suggest strategies to improve productivity or reduce labor costs.
- Partner with IT and technology departments to stay updated on system upgrades and data retrieval methods.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA Required
- Experience with Inventory Management systems (such as AS400/Carlisle)
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work with other team members
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, etc.
- Strong mathematical accounting skills, able to apply to practical solutions
- Experience with Microsoft Software and ERP Systems
- Knowledge of operating MACROS reporting and writing SQL
