Associate Manager - Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Job Summary: The Associate Manager - Maintenance is responsible for overseeing all daily maintenance functions to support plant operations. This role involves managing the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing maintenance processes to enhance plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Organize and manage the maintenance team, including integration, training, performance appraisals, and development. Delegate tasks, set targets, and provide clear instructions to ensure team efficiency.
- Maintenance Control: Apply and monitor maintenance standards, record and analyze maintenance data, and implement corrective actions to optimize costs and improve performance.
- Technical Leadership: Lead various maintenance activities, propose and implement improvement plans, and ensure products meet specifications.
- Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with plant management to schedule maintenance activities, monitor work orders, and manage the maintenance budget. Plan manpower and resources to meet production needs efficiently.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and propose improvements to reduce the plant's environmental impact.
- Safety Management: Enforce safety rules, analyze occupational hazards, and take necessary measures to prevent risks. Ensure the safety of employees and products in accordance with OSHA and company policies.
- Quality Assurance: Follow quality programs to maintain product standards, alert supervisors to deviations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Food Safety: Adhere to food safety programs, verify compliance in product contact areas, and prevent contamination in accordance with regulatory standards and company requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Technical degree in Maintenance or Engineering discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in maintenance within the dairy or food industry, with 6-5 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with agri-food industry technology, maintenance practices, quality, food safety, and health and safety regulations.
- Skills: Proactive, dynamic, flexible, and detail-oriented. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage stress, and maintain high professional standards.
