**Buyer - Aerospace & Defense Sector Opportunity in Wellington, KS**

Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage supplier relationships ensuring quality standards are met.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers while maintaining cost-effectiveness
- Solicit quotes from approved suppliers for replacement parts, repair services, manufacturing products, and facility supplies.
- Prepare purchase orders for replacement parts and vendor services.
- Track and follow up on open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
- Verify the nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests to ensure accuracy.
- Assess material requirements, including initial specifications, preferred suppliers, and delivery timelines.
- Manage inventory and warehouse levels aligning them with project timelines
Relevant Skills:
- Procurement: Your ability to oversee supply chain operations will ensure our client maintains its competitive edge.
- Aerospace Knowledge: Familiarity with aerospace components allows you tailor sourcing strategies effectively.
- Defense Acumen: Understanding of defense industry requisites ensures compliance and informed decision-making processes.
Compliance Requirements:
As per the International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR") and the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR"), applicants for certain positions may be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status to meet compliance criteria.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of: Supply Chain Operations, ERP Systems, and basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Skills to: Perform arithmetic calculations in various units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; interpret and analyze rate, ratio, and
percentage calculations; and create and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex technical instructions, both in mathematical or diagrammatic form, and manage multiple abstract and
concrete variables.
