One of the worlds leading Chemical Manufacturers is recruiting a Procurement Category Manager to join the team in Stockholm.
The company is investing heavily in Procurement over the next year, planning to double the size of the team, and you will be joining a business where procurement is at the forefront of conversations.
As Category Manager, reporting to the Head of Procurement, Nordics, you will manage their Distribution and Chemicals category and be instrumental in devising and embedding category strategy across EMEA for the group.
You will be the right hand of the Head of Procurement for the region and lead a team of two Strategic Buyers.
This will be a highly strategic, in an ever changing, dynamic organisation, offering a great opportunity to make a huge impact.
As Procurement Category Manager you will be responsible for:
- Driving and negotiating strategic and partnership agreements within own categories
- Developing a network of key category stakeholders for effective implementation of sourcing initiatives supporting business plans and development
- Developing suppliers towards supporting our targets for sustainable procurement
- Developing detailed knowledge about key raw material & Distribution markets, conducting demand, market, and supplier analyses
- Handling supply chain risks - identifying and minimising risks resulting from supply interruptions and price fluctuations
- Negotiating prices terms and conditions to achieve given targets
- Owning the relationship with key suppliers and developing them into strategic suppliers or partners.
- Leading and mentoring a team of 2 Strategic Buyers
