A leading company in the Manufacturing sector is recruiting a new Category Manager, Indirects to join the team.

Reporting to the Category Lead, you will manage a range of projects and spends from end to end across the business indirect services, focusing heavily on IT and OPEX categories.

As Category Manager you will be responsible for:
- In coordination with your supervisor, you will define and develop the commodity group strategy, implement it in collaboration with the relevant department, and find ways to improve cost efficiency and supplier collaboration.
- The basis of your strategies will be global commodity group and procurement market analyses, after which you will manage the process of selecting new suppliers with input from the relevant departments (from tendering to contract awarding).
- You will lead price and contract negotiations with international suppliers and service providers as consistently as you do respectfully.
- Your goal: to reduce product costs, improve product quality, and ensure timely deliveries.
- To improve cost transparency, you will also initiate cost and value analysis projects with suppliers in consultation with process owners, optimise the existing supplier base through supplier evaluations, and support supplier audits.
- Your diverse responsibilities will be rounded out by master data management and supporting material disposition in case of supply bottlenecks.
