Chartering Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Chartering Operations: Manage the day-to-day MPP chartering activities
- Business development: proactively initiate revenue-generating activities in the chartering space.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the shipping industry.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate chartering contracts with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, ship owners, and other industry stakeholders.
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chartering.
- Familiarity with various types of vessels including: Handy, Max, Panamax, MPP (priority to MPP).
- Previous experience with Asia - Mediterranean Region routes.
- Familiarity with grains and minerals&metals categories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in an international environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative especially regarding commercial development.
- Fluent English.
