Job Title: Technical Manager

DSJ Global is partnered with an industry leading paper manufacturer in Georgia who is looking to add a strong Continuous Improvement Manager to their team in Georgia. The Continuous Improvement Manager will leverage leadership, operational experience, and analytical skills to identify and implement strategic improvements in a new lumber mill. This role involves providing process engineering oversight to enhance product quality, increase production and yield, and eliminate waste. The individual will work closely with team members at all levels to capture and execute strategic value opportunities, ultimately improving the mill's competitive position.
Continuous Improvement Manager Responsibilities:
Serve as a safety role model, promoting a culture of continuous improvement in safety.
Develop and implement forward-looking practices and techniques to achieve optimal operations.
Collaborate with various teams to set and manage mill optimization parameters for maximum value creation.
Develop, analyze, and report performance metrics to evaluate and improve machine center and mill performance.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize machine performance through daily analysis and proactive approaches.
Implement recovery control measures and monitoring procedures to minimize fiber loss.
Liaise with external vendors and technicians to maintain optimization systems.
Communicate with controls technicians to enhance mill flow, reduce process variation, and improve machine execution.
Continuous Improvement Manager Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
1+ years of managerial experience.
Experienced with industrial statistics and statistical analysis.
Experience with Root Cause Analysis, gap identification and analysis, and project or program planning and execution.
Proven ability to influence and execute significant change initiatives.
Strong organizational skills and capable of managing multiple projects.
