Company Summary:
An exciting international FMCG company going through a transformation are looking for someone to join as the Supply Chain Director to lead their Supply Chain Operations. In this role, you will play a crucial role in partnering with our commercial teams to support business development and define the supply chain strategy for the region. Your primary focus will be on enhancing customer service and fostering strong relationships with markets and customers. You will lead an end-to-end (E2E) supply chain function, including a Demand Planning team, to ensure seamless operations and drive growth.
The Supply Chain Director will be responsible for:
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement the regional supply chain strategy, aligning with business goals and market demands. Balance economic, industry, customer, and competitive factors to optimize performance.
- Commercial Support: Collaborate closely with commercial teams to support business development initiatives. Provide reliable and responsive service to enhance customer satisfaction and drive growth.
- Customer Focus: Build and maintain strong relationships with markets and customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Act as the primary point of contact for supply chain-related inquiries.
- E2E Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, from demand planning to delivery, ensuring integration and efficiency across all functions. Lead a Demand Planning team to create accurate forecasts and robust plans.
- Process Optimization: Leverage and actively manage Global Business Services processes and teams to promote end-to-end integration and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Global planning and logistics, Regional supply chain teams, and operations to align local market intelligence and day-to-day operations with global, regional, and local objectives.
- Budget Management: Manage the regional supply chain budget, ensuring service levels and financial targets are met.
- Performance Monitoring: Ensure local market intelligence and daily operations adhere to service level agreements (SLAs), budgets, lead times, and other performance metrics.
- New Product Introductions: Oversee new product introductions within the region, including the management of obsolete or excess inventory.
- Project Leadership: Serve as the primary contact for the region on any Global or Regional projects, ensuring effective implementation and adherence to Global and Regional processes and policies.
The Supply Chain Director should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience in a senior supply chain role with a focus on customer service and market engagement.
- Strong E2E supply chain management experience, including demand planning.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- German skills preferred but not essential
- Willingness to travel
