The Director of Continuous Improvement is tasked with overseeing and advancing the company's continuous improvement (CI) processes across the business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of spearheading Lean and Six Sigma initiatives in a continuous process manufacturing setting, coupled with a keen insight into organizational change management. The role involves supervising five direct reports who are embedded Six Sigma Black Belts across our manufacturing facilities.
The Director of CI will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment of the company's Continuous Improvement framework.
- Ensure alignment of the CI operating system, Six Sigma, and other activities to generate actionable value creation initiatives.
- Provide guidance, training, and oversight to Six Sigma practitioners and manage the Six Sigma project portfolio.
- Lead the Asset Care Excellence and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) programs.
- Track and report CI metrics to the organization and senior leadership.
The Director of CI should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement roles in a continuous process manufacturing environment and 3+ years supervisory/managerial experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, STEM, supply chain, business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Robust financial acumen with the ability to justify, baseline, and report project outcomes.
- Proficiency in statistical, simulation, and analytical methods and software (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Minitab).
- Strong communication, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
