We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance and enhancing safety and environmental measures within our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new strategies and policies that uphold their commitment to excellence in process safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process safety management strategies and policies.
- Conduct Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs) to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide technical expertise and support to operational teams on process safety issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) teams to optimize safety protocols and procedures.
- Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field.
- Proven experience in process safety management within the pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs).
- Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or similar are a plus.
