Summary of the Electrical Engineer
An innovative paper company known for its commitment to sustainability is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to its Electrical Engineering team! Working as an Electrical Engineer for this green company means supporting the electrical maintenance department and upkeeping safety and productivity of electrical equipment. This is a highly visible role allowing the Electrical Engineer to manage various engineering projects to support reliability and improvement efforts. The Electrical Engineer will also work closely with operators and technicians to program and troubleshoot various PLCs and DCSs.
Responsibility of the Electrical Engineers
- Ensure correct electrical preventative maintenance procedures are in place
- Fluent in programming PLCs and DCS systems
- Experience with instrumentation and Loop knowledge
- Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams on various capital projects
- Work closely with E&I Supervisor to ensure hourly E&I employees are trained and assist with troubleshooting
Qualifications of the Electrical Engineer
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing setting (pulp + paper background preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Skilled at developing reliability plans for power distribution components
