This company is seeking a General Manager to oversee their plant located in Tennessee. The General Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, safety, and team management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities of General Manager
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production scheduling, inventory management, and maintenance
- Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Implement and enforce best practices for safety, quality control, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of production staff, supervisors, and support personnel
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to employees to enhance their skills and performance
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the plant
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and revenue optimization
- Collaborate with senior management to set goals, budgets, and KPIs for the plant
Qualifications of General Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of LEAN and Continuous Improvement
- Full P and L Experience
