Job Description:
Your 'Day to Day':
As the Global Commodity Manager - Warehouse and Distribution, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations globally. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute global commodity strategies for Warehouse and Distribution services, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the company's needs, assess market dynamics, and identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management processes to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse and distribution efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes affecting the Warehouse and Distribution commodity to proactively manage risks and opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on commodity performance, cost savings, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align commodity strategies with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
Who we're looking for:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on Warehouse and Distribution commodities within the FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing global commodity strategies.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favorable terms and conditions.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse and distribution processes, market trends, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a global and cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency in relevant procurement software and tools.
