We are looking for an experienced and ambitious expert in Sea Freight Operations to support our clients growth and expansion into the European market, we are seeking a dynamic and eager Sea Freight Operations Manager to join the team and be an integral part of the ocean freight business.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all aspects of our sea freight operations, ensuring the highest level of service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute the sea freight logistics strategy for the European market, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives. Identify growth opportunities, evaluate market trends, and implement effective strategies to drive business expansion.
Operations Management:
Oversee the end-to-end sea freight operations, including but not limited to freight forwarding, customs clearance, documentation, and shipment tracking. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards while maintaining optimal operational efficiency.
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate a team of sea freight professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance levels. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.
Vendor Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, carriers, and other service providers. Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and drive cost optimization initiatives.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong partnerships with key clients, understanding their unique requirements and providing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction. Address any issues or concerns promptly, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of sea freight operations. Regularly analyze data, generate insightful reports, and present findings to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications & Requirements
* A solution driven and value focused mindset is a must
* A smart-working individual with a general understanding of the freight forwarding landscape is a must. Experience and knowledge in sea freight business operations is a plus
* They should be willing to work beyond the job role and ensure proper handling of all jobs assigned.
* Good written communication skills in French and English Language, and attention to detail.
* A working knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
* Proficiency in handling MS office tools
* You must be an enthusiastic learner in this fast-paced working environment and handle pressure with ease.
