We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring optimal production support, efficiency, and equipment reliability. This role involves managing a team, driving root cause analysis, implementing process improvements, and maintaining compliance with all safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead maintenance operations with a strong focus on safety, cost control, and production efficiency.
- Enforce company policies and ensure all activities align with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and mentor team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work cross-functionally to align maintenance strategies with production goals and business objectives.
- Investigate and implement upgrades for aging equipment while spearheading projects that enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain high-quality standards by addressing variances and optimizing maintenance processes.
- Utilize lean methodologies to drive performance improvements and enhance machine up time.
- Set daily targets, resolve operational roadblocks, and oversee employee training to ensure skill development.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and leadership to the maintenance team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience leading a maintenance team in a manufacturing setting.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, a relevant diploma (operations), or a certified trade qualification combined with equivalent experience.
- Experience in blown film manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on expertise with film extrusion, printing equipment, PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley), and reading schematics is a plus.
- Deep understanding of industrial maintenance best practices, including outage scheduling.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, drive change, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Familiarity with LEAN methodologies and a track record of driving efficiency improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to change, and make data-driven decisions.
- Must be available for after-hours call-ins and weekend support as needed.
