Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for project management, monitoring inventory, controlling maintenance budgets, and performing electrical and mechanical equipment repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the work activity of a team of maintenance technicians.
- Project management to ensure timely completion of repairs and projects.
- Monitor parts inventory and place purchase orders when necessary.
- Control the budget for maintenance expenses.
- Perform repairs on production equipment throughout the plant.
- Conduct carpentry work for building alterations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Repair and maintain electrical motors, pumps, and machinery.
- Perform welding as required.
- Conduct routine housekeeping tasks.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Willingness to routinely perform overtime without extended notice.
- Assist in related department activities and perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalency certificate; supplemented by vocational technical training.
- Minimum of two years of employment experience in a maintenance leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- Formal training or demonstrated skills and knowledge of general maintenance, including equipment and facility repairs.
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical motors, and conveyors.
- Ability to manage department work schedules to ensure timely completion of repairs, projects, and tasks.
- Skill in the operation and maintenance of small hand tools and motor-powered tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Competent in related computer software.
- Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
