Our client specializes in providing compressed air systems to various industries. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician for multiple sites. The Maintenance Technician will handle equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, preventative and predictive maintenance, emergency services, and support for equipment upgrades. This role also requires regular interaction with their customers to maintain positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Schedule and perform general and preventative/predictive maintenance for compressors, dryers, cooling equipment, pumps, valves, PLC/electronic controls, automation components, and instrumentation in accordance with CMMS and OEM recommendations.
* Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to CAS equipment during regular work hours, and be available after hours and on weekends to make recommendations and repairs.
* Visually inspect and listen to equipment to locate causes of malfunctions, detect wear or misalignment's, diagnose problems, dismantle machines, identify root causes, and replace or repair equipment as needed to maintain CAS uptime.
* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform repairs using system troubleshooting methodologies and diagnostic tools.
* Maintain spare parts inventories and relationships with core equipment OEMs for full support and backup in repairs and maintenance.
* Periodically perform system walkdowns to identify potential problems such as minor leaks, erratic control, improper valve operation, improper condensate trap operation, strange noises, etc.
* Respond to "Call Outs" promptly to maintain the Customer's compressed air supply.
* Document any preventative maintenance tasks, potential safety hazards, or low inventories (e.g., water chemicals, glycol, oil, filters, etc.) identified as part of the weekly activity report.
* Be able to work overtime when scheduled and maintain 24/7 on-call status.
Key Qualifications:
* Strong emphasis on safety, with significant safety training and acumen
* OSHA 10 certification.
* Proven hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining compressed air systems equipment, including large centrifugal compressors, air dryers, instrumentation, and PLC/DCS control systems.
* Solid understanding, aptitude, and experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and controls areas, along with troubleshooting experience.
* Understanding of basic electrical principles in practical situations involving the safe operation and repair of electrical equipment; expertise in electrical and instrumentation is a plus.
* Maintenance skills, including familiarity with CMMS.
* Ability to read and follow P&IDs, sketches, schematics, blueprints, OEM specifications, and manuals for CAS equipment maintenance and repairs.
* Ability to operate effectively, efficiently, and independently, as well as in a team environment.
