Microbiologist

As a Microbiologist, you will contribute to various laboratory activities and research projects related to microbiology. Your responsibilities will include performing microbiological tests, analyzing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting in data analysis. The ideal candidate should have excellent laboratory skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
The Microbiologist will:
- Perform microbiological tests and experiments under the supervision of senior microbiologists
- Prepare and analyze samples, including isolation, identification, and characterization of microorganisms
- Utilize a range of techniques and instruments, such as microscopy, PCR, DNA sequencing, culturing, and biochemical assays, to carry out microbiological analyses
- Assist in the development and optimization of new laboratory protocols and techniques
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including experimental procedures, results, and observations
- Prepare media, reagents, and solutions necessary for microbiological testing and research.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including autoclaves, incubators, spectrophotometers, and centrifuges
- Collaborate with other team members to plan and coordinate research activities and experiments
The Sr. Quality Engineer has the following qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Experience with biochemical reactions & microbial ID systems
- Experience with aseptic techniques
