Location: Des Moines, IA Area - Hybrid work environment (~50% onsite)
We are a leader in the manufacturing industry seeking a dynamic, hands-on Operations Team Supervisor to drive continuous improvements and ensure the success of our manufacturing operations.
Position Overview:
The Operations Team Supervisor will oversee all manufacturing processes / maintenance controls, ensuring alignment with company goals, standards, and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain key manufacturing systems, including compression and others.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Champion a continuous improvement and safety culture across the facility.
- Apply Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles to optimize spare parts availability and establish a preventive and predictive maintenance culture.
- Collaborate with Business Management to provide necessary updates.
- Lead personnel with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Support division growth through the development and implementation of cost control and reduction programs, while maintaining high-quality and safety standards.
- Hire, develop, and mentor employees, preparing them for senior leadership roles.
- Prepare shift reports and provide status updates during shift changes.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Spearhead LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Promote a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Cultivate a culture of safety and quality improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of compressors, dryers, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Familiarity with Lean and/or Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with TPM.
- Skilled in root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to lead cultural and organizational change.
- LEAN and/or 5S manufacturing experience is a plus.
