A specialty chemical manufacturer know for their advanced fiber manufacturing techniques is searching for a Process Controls Engineer. The role involves multitasking in a dynamic environment, updating and maintaining process control systems, troubleshooting, and providing engineering support.
Requirements:
- BS in Chemical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in chemical manufacturing or related field
- Advanced PC, control systems, programming, and loop tuning skills
- PLC programming and maintenance knowledge
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
Preferred:
- Experience with R/Python, Machine Learning, Data Visualization, Big Data Processing
Responsibilities:
- Design and update process control systems
- Maintain HMI standards, plant data historians, and support training simulators
- Enhance plant safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Lead control system projects from conception to implementation
- Provide technical support during plant startups and shutdowns
- Engage in HAZOP studies and process safety reviews
- No direct reports
