Summary:
A reputable ship repair company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Process Engineer for their Huntington-Ashland Metropolitan Area facility.
Responsibilities:
The ideal Process Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Boost process capability and production volume while upholding and enhancing quality standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and track relevant metrics.
- Conduct studies to elevate product quality.
- Prepare reports for quality systems and status meetings.
- Collect samples and analyze data to develop better processing methods.
- Design and implement systems that optimize all phases of the production process.
- Collaborate with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to create a cost-effective and efficient production process.
- Perform root cause analysis on nonconforming products and implement process improvements to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications:
The ideal Process Engineer will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
- 2+ years in a Manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with process improvement
