SUMMARY
We are a leading manufacture of high-voltage electric systems in search of an experienced Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement activities, particularly in acquiring essential materials and equipment for large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
The Procurement Manager will have these responsibilities:
- Oversee the procurement process for critical materials and equipment necessary for our infrastructure projects, including metals, large industrial components, power transformers, etc.
- Manage and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of relationship-building collaboration.
- Establish strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors internationally, negotiating global contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives that ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials while maintaining supplier quality standards.
- Manage budget allocations for procurement, tracking expenditures to identify potential savings.
- Negotiate contracts with global suppliers to secure the best possible terms, focusing on long-term relationships and supply chain reliability.
The Procurement Manager has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Engineering) w/ 7-11 years of supply chain procurement experience
- 3+ years of people management/team leadership experience
- Must have recent experience in the electric utilities industry
