They are currently looking for a dynamic Purchasing Manager to establish and lead their procurement function. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing strategic procurement plans, managing supplier relationships, and working collaboratively across departments to optimize cost efficiencies while upholding the highest standards of quality. Your contributions will be instrumental in supporting the company's growth and maintaining its leadership in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for medical devices, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to secure optimal terms and quality.
- Build and manage supplier relationships, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing, to meet project timelines and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor market trends and stay abreast of industry developments, particularly within the ophthalmic sector, to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Establish procurement KPIs and manage performance against targets.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and compliance.
- Provide strategic input to senior management on procurement-related matters, including budget planning and risk management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field; MBA preferred.
- Years of procurement experience, ideally in medical devices or health-care.
- Proven track record in establishing procurement functions.
- Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German or French preferred.
