Title: Procurement Manager (Packaging)
Location: Greater Plainfield, NJ Area
Company Profile: A world-leading consumer health company is looking to add a Procurement Manager (Packaging) to their team. This person will be responsible for overseeing spend in packaging and accountable for identifying and delivering business benefits aligned with cost reduction, cash improvement, supply, quality, service, sustainability, and innovation.
The Procurement Manager (Packaging) will Be Responsible For the Following:
- Develop, manage, and implement comprehensive strategies to deliver savings targets and other benefits that significantly impact financial results
- Drive the category in relevant supply chain brand-focused forums
- Develop and improve innovative procurement tools, such as should-cost models and optimized supply replenishment models, to identify and deliver incremental savings
- Strategically engage with and understand the business requirements of stakeholders and business partners to position the Procurement value proposition
- Build strategic relationships with key suppliers at a senior level and lead processes to ensure value is driven from these relationships
The Procurement Manager (Packaging) Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred)
- Procurement experience in a large FMCG company
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to think strategically to build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers and to create sourcing plans
- Deep financial acumen
- Proficient in Excel
This is a full time permanent position that will operate on a hybrid schedule (2-3x in the office).
