Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Production Planning Manager to join our client's team in Tennessee. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
- Coordinate with various departments, including Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and Logistics, to ensure seamless production operations.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust plans as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or supply chain disruptions.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and mentor a team of production planners, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- Conduct capacity planning and resource allocation to maximize production efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, inventory levels, and capacity utilization.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production planning and overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production planning process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Production Planning Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP experience is an asset).
