Title: Manufacturing Production Supervisor
Location: Greater Pittsburgh, PA
A global industry leader within Building Materials is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to supervise all manufacturing production activities.
This Supervisor will be accountable for production output goals, quality, safety, materials, overall department goals, and training and developing employees.
The Manufacturing Production Supervisor will have the following responsibilities:
- Leading the production team to achieve all plant goals.
- Develop and ensure a positive working relationship with all production team members through coaching and development, training and onboarding, and fostering employee engagement.
- Managing the daily production and schedule requirements for all assigned departments and ensuring consistent workflow through the departments.
- Ensuring safe working conditions and safe work habits for area team members through the identifying and correcting safety concerns, safety training, conducting safety audits, reinforcing positive behaviors, and conducting investigations to determine root cause and resolution.
- Ensuring assigned departments achieve quality goals; reviewing quality standards regularly and making recommendations on improvements.
- Supporting plant leadership with recommendations for improving production methods, equipment, procedures, quality standards, production efficiencies, and safety/working conditions.
- Partnering with the maintenance department to ensure production areas are functioning highly and minimizing downtime.
- Work with plant support operations such as Logistics, Materials, and Scheduling to ensure a consistent flow of material to the production area.
- Determine appropriate staffing needs, making recommendations and supporting leadership in hiring, disciplinary actions, promotions, and terminations.
The ideal Manufacturing Production Supervisor should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree OR 5 years Minimum Manufacturing Experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Problem analysis and critical thinking abilities, and strong planning/organizational skills
- Ability to drive improvements and coach others to achieve goals
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
