Project Engineer/Manager need for global Building Materials Manufacturer!
SUMMARY
The Project Manager plays a key role in delivering both Capital investments and small project improvements. This includes the complete lifecycle of design, construction/installation, commissioning, startup, and documentation activities. Responsibilities include creating detailed technical documents for material and equipment procurement, fabrication, and construction/installation. Additionally, the Project Manager will ensure Contractor Compliance and maintain plant records and engineering drawings for the facility, along with outage work processes. The role also involves planning and scheduling project work, coordinating procurement from approved suppliers, tracking timing and costs, and managing the construction/installation team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage life cycle of capital projects - from development/conception through execution/completion.
- Collaborate with plant leadership team and corporate projects team to ensure project goals are achieved (including production, safety, cost reduction, quality, etc.).
- Manage and further develop relationships with suppliers and contractors relevant to project goals. Resolve scheduling conflicts and respond to project questions and requests.
- Facilitate regular communication/feedback to the larger team - milestones, issue, overall status.
- Work closely with maintenance/reliability team to ensure asset strategy is established for new machinery/assets.
- Apply data-based decisions to solve problems, utilizing critical thinking.
- Develop project scope by collecting input from engineers, production, and maintenance staff.
- Prioritize safety and ensure projects are completed in a compliant and environmentally responsible manner.
- Utilize systems/internal resources to track project progress against schedule and cost.
- Review contractor deliverables and ensure their alignment with company goals, safety procedures, and risk tolerance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in project management/development. Previous experience working in project engineering is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience working in an industrial manufacturing plant environment. Ideally will have previous experience working in building materials, chemical manufacturing, or related field.
- AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Office - MS Project experience preferred.
- Experience with application of PSM requirements and familiarity with CMMS systems preferred.
