Quality Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee the plant's Quality Assurance program, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to implement quality improvements and support food safety practices.
- Manage quality audits, documentation, and product dispositions, ensuring adherence to HACCP and SQF requirements.
- Provide leadership and training to QA technicians and staff, addressing noncompliance and supporting recall procedures.
Quality Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is required.
- At least 10 years of experience in food manufacturing, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and FDA regulations, alongside effective management and communication skills.
- Proficient in training development, problem-solving, and statistical analysis tools.
