DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading chemical manufacturing company committed to excellence and safety in every aspect of their operations. As they continue to expand, currently seeking a skilled Safety Manager to uphold their standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and continually improve the site's safety operations and Process Safety Management (PSM) program.
- Oversee and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety records and reports, ensuring timely submission to regulatory agencies.
- Lead emergency response planning and ensure readiness to effectively respond to accidents or emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous safety management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and policies.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation or similar certification preferred.
