Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sanitation Manager to oversee and manage all sanitation activities in our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the food and beverage industry, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Additionally, the candidate must be bilingual (English and Spanish) to effectively communicate with a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation policies and procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Supervise and coordinate sanitation team members, providing training and support to ensure adherence to sanitation protocols.
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas requiring cleaning and maintenance.
Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP and GMP standards.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and proper usage.
Investigate and resolve any sanitation-related issues or complaints.
Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and corrective actions.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sanitation processes and reduce risks.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety and sanitation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sanitation management within the food and beverage industry.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP and GMP.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in using sanitation and cleaning equipment.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
