A leading manufacturer is looking for a Senior Buyer that will be responsible purchasing both direct and indirect materials. This role will focus on developing and evaluating supplier relationships, trends in the industry, and stance with key competitors. This person will maintain purchase orders for supplies, materials, and office supplies/equipment. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for:
- Develops, evaluates and manages supplier relationships
- Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality problems with suppliers
- Maintain item master integrity by updating supplier lead times, verification of safety stock levels, EOQ's, etc.
- Monitor status of open orders to ensure on-time delivery of all items ordered
- Manage material flows throughout production/BOM changes, obsolescence, and the
- introduction of new suppliers
- Maintains department workflow
The Senior Buyer should have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain
- 4+ years of purchasing/procurement
- Experience using ERP systems
- Comfortable with up to 10% travel
