Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives and ensure optimal value for money.
Manage the procurement process for all materials, equipment, and services required for mining operations, including sourcing, bidding, and contract negotiation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
Monitor market trends and conditions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient flow of materials and services.
Prepare and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
Implement and maintain robust procurement processes and systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
