Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Strategic Sourcing to join our team in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, and improve quality and delivery performance. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the automotive supply chain, and the ability to manage relationships with key suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans that align with the company's business objectives and goals.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, and manage the supplier selection process.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies.
Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality materials and components.
Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential supply chain risks.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on sourcing performance.
Lead cost reduction initiatives and drive continuous improvement in the sourcing process.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management in the automotive industry.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements.
Knowledge of automotive industry standards, regulations, and trends.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
