Are you ready to lead and innovate? As the Technical Manager, you'll spearhead mechanical, electrical, and capital improvement initiatives at our facility, driving process engineering efforts to new heights. You'll utilize maintenance programs, budgeting, and capital planning to direct cross-functional teams, all focused on enhancing OEE and material usage in our manufacturing operations. This pivotal senior leadership role offers a clear path to becoming the Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Coaching: Inspire and guide the Maintenance, Plant Engineering, and Process Engineering departments through Gemba walks and one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Asset Maintenance Reliability: Design, develop, and monitor a comprehensive Asset Maintenance Reliability Plan, including preventative and predictive maintenance, spare parts management, scheduling, and a fully integrated CMMS system with key process indicators.
- Capital Improvement: Identify and manage capital needs to boost performance in production, environmental safety, and building & grounds. Oversee projects from inception to completion, including estimating, fund procurement, equipment specification, vendor and contractor selection, and project management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Material Control and Production to coordinate preventative and repair work, safety inspections, installation and commissioning of new equipment, and significant process changes.
- Strategic Planning: Partner with Manufacturing Leadership to develop strategic and tactical plans that meet safety, quality, and production targets, improve reliability and efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis and develop countermeasures for top quality, OEE, and customer complaint issues.
- New Product Introduction: Coordinate plant participation in the New Product Introduction Process.
- Process Documentation: Ensure the development and maintenance of process flow charts, PFMEAs, and control plans for production processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant management, engineering management, quality management, and/or continuous improvement roles.
- Extensive project management experience in the processing industries.
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and planning skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, including executives.
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions quickly and effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels, from hourly employees to the C-suite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Travel Requirements
