Summary:
Reporting directly to the COO, the Head of Operations will be responsible for all manufacturing activities including production, operations, quality, logistics, R&D, procurement and quality. The incumbent will be expected to cross-collaborate with managers of other functions, devise operational strategies and track progress to meet goals.
The Head of Operations should have the following skill set:
- BA or BS required; Engineering or similar technical major a plus
- 15+ years Manufacturing experience in a cGMP Manufacturing environment such as Pharma, Chemicals, Biotechnology, etc.
- 8+ years Management Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Comprehensive understanding of cGMP guidelines
- Functional knowledge of Lean Concepts
- Strong financial acumen
- CapEx experience required
- Plant consolidation and/or relocation experience required; Greenfield experience a plus
The Head of Operations will:
- Oversee all operations to ensure optimization to ensure quality, safety and budgetary standards are being met
- Lead site EHS, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, and Safety teams
- Ensure manufacturing operations are in line with FDA and cGMP regulatory standards
- Spearhead CapEx projects in line with company growth trajectory
- Work closely with plant leadership to set daily goals and agendas
- Conduct performance reviews and make any necessary changes
- Hire, train, mentor and discipline a world class leadership team
- Create and execute strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with relevant parties to develop and implement operation budgets
