Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager to oversee our Amsterdam warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, exceptional leadership skills, and a focus on efficiency and productivity. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage daily operations, lead a team, and ensure that our warehouse functions smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee and manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
- Monitor and improve warehouse performance metrics such as productivity, accuracy, and timeliness.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse staff to achieve high levels of performance and engagement.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance feedback.
- Foster a positive and safe work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Inventory Management:
- Ensure accurate and timely inventory management, including stock control and cycle counting.
- Implement best practices for inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demands.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment.
- Address and resolve any safety issues promptly and effectively.
Customer Service & Satisfaction:
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer expectations.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance service quality.
Process Improvement & Efficiency:
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to optimize operations.
- Monitor industry trends and adopt best practices to stay competitive.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the warehouse budget, ensuring cost control and financial performance.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide regular financial and operational reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve high performance.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch is highly desirable.
