Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled Controls Specialist to join their dynamic team at a leading Global Food Production Company based in New Hampshire. As a Controls Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their machinery and components, with a primary focus on troubleshooting various control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLCs, including Allen Bradley and Siemens systems, as well as expertise in HMI's, flow meters, pressure sensors, VFD, RTDs, and servos.
Responsibilities:
- PLC Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens systems.
- HMI Maintenance: Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems to ensure seamless communication with machinery.
- Sensor Calibration: Calibrate and troubleshoot flow meters, pressure sensors, and RTDs to maintain precision in the production process.
- VFD Configuration: Configure and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Servo Control: Manage and troubleshoot servo systems to ensure precise control of machinery components.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, and production, to identify and address control system issues promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of control system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Training: Provide training to maintenance and operations teams on the proper use and troubleshooting of control systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Substantial experience in troubleshooting PLCs, especially Siemens and Allen Bradley systems.
- Proficiency in HMI systems, flow meters, pressure sensors, VFDs, RTDs, and servos.
- Extensive understanding of control system architecture and communication protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in an industrial setting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
