R&D Scientist Responsibilities
- Act as a frontline technical resource to enhance ingredient and product performance, focusing on key performance indicators for safety, quality, yield, and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and validation for new formulas, ingredients, and processes while ensuring compliance with food safety practices.
- Serve as a plant coordinator for the commercialization of changes to existing products and for new product introductions.
- Train technical staff and operators on ingredient functionality and manufacturing processes, promoting best practices across multiple sites.
R&D Scientist Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food manufacturing, product development, or quality assurance.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to mentor and influence others.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
